Goat farming is a profitable business in the world business ideas with low investment and high profit. Goat farming project requires less capital and investment than raising any other livestock, huge global demand is the main reasons for spreading this business rapidly.

On average, you must assign 10 square foot space for each female goat, 20 square feet space for male goats, and four (4) square feet space for kids as the floor space.  The walls of the house must be 6 feet in height the dimensions of the house for a full-grown goat must be 4 feet into 2.5 feet goats tend to live in slightly raised structures from the ground level for this purpose you can prepare artificial structures 2 to 3 feet high over the floor.

This can also help to clean waste materials for commercial purposes you must keep diseased goats, lactating goats, female goats, and pregnant goats in separate sheds if you are rearing goats for commercial purposes.

You must provide a daily requirement of 2 to 3 kilograms of green grass and 100 to 150 grams of grains for a mature goat. The daily requirement is 5 kilograms grass and 500 grams of grains, you must also provide 700 grams water for each coat.

Pregnant goats require daily grain meal along with other fodder, you can feed almost any kind of grass and plant feed to goats however you must not feed them food infested with mold or other contaminants as it might be harmful to them you just have to make sure to take care of the goats when they are pregnant and lactating or diseased.

You must take proper care so that they are born under hygienic conditions, you must also take care of the nutrition management of the young kids while they are still growing. When the goat kids are 2 months old and stopped feeding on mother’s milk you must separate them from the mother and keep them in separate sheds.

In case of male goat kids you must perform castration when they 1.5 to 2 months old by banding method or any other suitable method. To start a good breeding program you must select goats belonging to parents of high quality and superior characteristics.

The future scope for farming is highly dependent on the breed and quality of goat, you must select goats for breeding which are healthy having a glossy skin strong and sturdy for breeding you must use female goats of 12 to 14 months of age and male goats of 16 to 18 months of age.

The breeding can be done any time of the year the female goat can be made to fertilize every 18 to 21 days and a month to mature male goats can be used to fertilize 50 mature female goats. Goats are generally resistant to deadly diseases and infections but if they are kept in unhygienic conditions they are likely to fall ill.

Also if you use disease resistant breeds, there are lesser chances of the animals to fall ill. The most common diseases affecting guts are PPR goat pox pneumonia and Iran toxemia coccidiosis etc usually vaccination is administered under the goat skin for anthrax PPR and foot-and-mouth disease.

Goat products can be sold in the market very easily as it has a huge demand for it; you can sell goat meat based on the requirements of the market and when they reach the desired mass milk and fur can always be sold accordingly, dead goats can be sold for the skin.
