The company was established in 2014 with five operational offices in different states and her head office in Abuja, Nigeria. Our services are centred around sourcing the finest, solid minerals and the healthiest agricultural products from the local market and exporting them to meet the demands of our customers at international markets.

We are recruiting to fill the position below:

Job Title: Cost Accounts Officer

Location: Mowe, Ogun [Lagos-Ibadan Express Way].

Background

  • We are seeking to hire a qualified and technically competent Cost Accounts Officer for its Aluminium and Copper Ingots Manufacturing Plant.
  • The Factory, which is based in Mowe [Lagos-Ibadan Express Way], Ogun state will primarily recycle a broad range of scrap materials and convert them to usable Aluminium and Copper Ingots for different manufacturing purposes.

Responsibilities
The ideal candidate will (but is not limited to):

  • Collect cost information and maintain an expense database.
  • Construct data accumulation systems.
  • Determine fixed costs (e.g. salaries, rent, and insurance)
  • Plan and record variable costs (e.g. purchases of raw material and operations costs)
  • Review standard and actual costs for inaccuracies.
  • Prepare budgeting reports (for the company and each department)
  • Analyse and report profit margins.
  • Prepare (monthly, quarterly, and annual) cost forecasts.
  • Assisting in month-end and year-end closing
  • Identify and recommend cost-effective solutions.
Education and Experience

  • B.Sc in Accounting / Finance-related role.
  • Proven 5 years of work experience as a cost accountant, cost analyst, accountant, or similar role.
  • ICAN certification and membership.
  • At least 3 years’ experience in the Aluminum factory/ Manufacturing industry is an added advantage.

Required Competence:

  • Thorough knowledge of accounting procedures.
  • In-depth understanding of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).
  • Experience with accounting software, like Microsoft Dynamics, QuickBooks, Zoho, etc.
  • Computer literacy, MS Excel in particular (familiarity with MS Dynamics).
  • Excellent analytical skills with an attention to detail.
  • Strong time management skills.
  • Integrity, with an ability to handle confidential information.
