- We are seeking to hire a qualified and technically competent Assistant Storekeeper for our Aluminium and Copper Ingots Manufacturing Plant.
- The Factory, which is based in Mowe [Lagos-Ibadan Express Way], Ogun state will primarily recycle a broad range of scrap materials and convert them to usable Aluminium and Copper Ingots for different manufacturing purposes.
- The storekeeper will be responsible for the technical store, routine, and daily store activities, including processing postings, supplies receipt, and distribution, carrying out inventories and inventory control activities, and managing purchase and change orders.
Responsibilities
The ideal candidate will (but is not limited to):
- Take delivery of all incoming materials and reconcile with purchase order.
- Track, document, and resolve any discrepancies on received orders.
- Ensure accuracy of the facility’s inventory system by updating records of physical inventory totals, receipts, adjustments, and returns.
- Manage inventory/supplies and ensure they are within the established minimum and maximum levels.
- Update records of receipts, records, and withdrawals from the
electricalstockroom - Responsible for packing, pricing, labelling, and returning supplies.
- Responsible for stock rotation and coordinating the disposal of surpluses.
- Oversee the handling of freight, the movement of equipment, and minor repairs.
- Responsible for shipping cancelled or damaged items back to suppliers as appropriate.
Education and Experience
- A minimum of SSCE Certification (Secondary level Education)
- At least (5) years year of related job experience in a similar manufacturing setting is preferred.
- Ability to utilize heavy equipment based on established protocols and job-related needs preferred.
- Knowledge of proper bookkeeping and inventory management
- Proven work experience as a storekeeper
Packeror similar role - Experience in manufacturing or related fields is preferred.
- Basic shop skills, such as using hand tools.
- Ability to follow verbal and written instructions.
- Strong communication skills and desire to work with other team members.
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred
- Ability to read and comprehend applicable part prints and similar schematics preferred.
- Energetic with the ability to lift 50 pounds unaided.
- Computer skills.
- Great written and verbal communication skills.
