Job Title: Unit Head – Cocoa
Location: Edo
Overview of the Position
- This role involves overseeing and managing the supply chain processes for the business unit, ensuring efficient operations and implementing strategies to improve productivity and product quality.
Responsibilities
- Contribute to the design and implementation of the supply chain strategy for the product within the unit.
- Develop and implement business plans for the unit, conduct reviews and briefing and lead the team towards the attainment of set goals.
- Ensure optimal utilization of resources and enhance maximum efficiency by eliminating controllable losses.
- Ensure compliance with all applicable laws and regulations and coordination with local governing bodies and authorities.
- Assess and analyse market conditions and market information to support business decisions in the unit.
- Collaborate with the team on regular business review and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Manage team members, evaluate their performance and give feedback.
Skills and Requirements
- A graduate with 1-3 years of post-qualification industry experience.
- An understanding of how, and the willingness to go the extra mile, to bring added business value. Self-driven with a strong result orientation.
- Excellent communication and leadership skills.
- Strong financial acumen, ability to read and comprehend tasks such as counterparty and credit risk management.
- Project management and effective implementation and assessment of various projects in the unit.
- Organisation Skills and attention to details.
- Experience with Microsoft Office Suite.
- Effective coaching, facilitation, presentation, and team-building skills.
- Previous experience in Sales, Supply chain and Operations would be an added advantage.
