PROJECT OFFICER, WOMEN’S ECONOMIC JUSTICE

We’re looking for someone who excels at partner management & sourcing, communications, administration and event planning. CARE’s Program Strategy & Innovation’s team aims positively impact over 175M people by 2030 through our work in Food & Water Systems, Gender Justice, Education, Health, Climate Justice and Women’s Economic Justice . We are a growing team looking for someone to help us ensure we have the internal and external capacity needed to grow.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

Partnership Management & Sourcing

  • Procurement Lead (30%): lead procurement efforts for CARE’s development program technical teams.  Our team relies heavily on external partners to achieve our mission.  This position will help improve the team’s partnership management & sourcing process, helping improve and optimize our procurement process. 

Communications

  • Communication (25%): draft, review and send communications.  Manage overall communication flow to a team of 150+ staff members, to CARE’s C-suite and Board of Directors and with high priority donors like USAID, Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation, The World Bank and others. 

Administration

  • Administrative Support (25%): provide administrative support to the AVP.  Duties include calendar management, expense reports and light travel planning support. 

Event Planning

  • Event Planning: light event planning support for a mix of on-line and in-person team events throughout the year

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • College degree with a focus on international development or similar/equivalent combination of education and work experience
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Experience working cross-culturally, with people in different languages, time zones, and skill sets
  • Experience in knowledge management or research
  • Experience in communications
