Job Description
- As the Poultry Farm Manager, you will be responsible for managing all aspects of our poultry farming operations, ensuring the health and welfare of our birds, and optimizing production efficiency.
- This role requires strong leadership skills, extensive knowledge of poultry farming practices, and a commitment to maintaining high standards of biosecurity and animal welfare.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee daily operations of the poultry farm, including feeding, watering, and monitoring the health of the birds.
- Implement and manage biosecurity measures to prevent disease and ensure the health of the flock.
- Supervise and train farm staff, ensuring all team members adhere to safety and operational protocols.
- Monitor and manage the environmental conditions within poultry houses, including temperature, ventilation, and lighting.
- Coordinate with veterinarians and other professionals for health checks, vaccinations, and treatments.
- Maintain accurate records of production, feed consumption, mortality rates, and other relevant data.
- Develop and implement strategies to improve production efficiency and achieve operational goals.
- Ensure compliance with all local, state, and federal regulations related to poultry farming.
- Prepare and submit reports on farm operations and performance to senior management.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree in Animal Science, Agriculture, or a related field (preferred).
