- We seek to hire a qualified and technically competent Maintenance Supervisor for its Aluminium and Copper Ingots Manufacturing Plant.
- The Factory, which is based in Mowe [Lagos-Ibadan Express Way], Ogun state will primarily recycle a broad range of scrap materials and convert them to usable Aluminium and Copper Ingots for different manufacturing purposes.
- The maintenance supervisor should have core technical skills to fit the industry (in other words, know how to maintain physical assets used at their plant).
- They will supervise the team and maintain complex plant systems and equipment to meet production deadlines and preserve product quality.
The ideal candidate will (but is not limited to):
- Prepare maintenance schedules in line with the factory’s maintenance goalsand monitor PM compliance.
- Frequently inspect facilities to proactively detect potential problems and recommend the necessary repair or maintenance.
- Provide support and advice during recruitmentand ensure the proper onboarding and training process of maintenance team members.
- Oversee and enforce good record-keeping.
- Develop Standard Operating Procedures (SOP) around maintenance activities.
- Ensure maintenance procedures and proactive maintenance programs like preventive maintenance.
- Communicate policies, procedures, and any updates to maintenance staff and the team.
- Ensure timely job execution, within the budget, and without compromising building users’ safety.
- Work closely with vendors, outsourced service providers, and contractors to protect the interests of the facility.
- Maintain accurate materials and spare parts inventory.
- Recommend upgrades, overhauls, and other changes to major systems and equipment.
- Actively participate in projects (e.g. remodeling or renovation).
- Help with day-to-day equipment maintenance work when needed.
- Check that the premises are safe and not in violation of any regulations.
- Communicate directly with building occupants to resolve service requests.
- A Degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering or another relevant field.
- 5 - 7 years as a maintenance engineer/supervisor.
- Manufacturing industry experience is an added advantage.
- Engineer’s Association Member.
