Community Engagement & Social Development Initiative (CESDI) is a non-governmental organization committed to the sustainable livelihood of under privileged women, children and youth. CESDI is duly registered with the Nigerian Corporate Affairs Commission (CAC) since 2014. The Organization is involved in community development, capacity building, economic empowerment, social counseling, social mobilization, raising awareness/ education on health and conflict resolution/peace building initiatives.

Job Title: FSL Community Facilitator

Location: Maiduguri, Borno
Employment Type: Contract

Job Summary

  • We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Food Security and Livelihood (FSL) Facilitator to join our team.
  • The FSL Facilitator will be responsible for implementing food security and livelihood programs, providing technical support to beneficiaries, and ensuring the effective delivery of project activities.

Key Responsibilities

  • Implement FSL programs in accordance with organizational guidelines and donor requirements.
  • Facilitate training sessions on agricultural practices, income-generating activities, and vocational skills.
  • Provide technical support and guidance to beneficiaries to improve agricultural productivity and livelihood opportunities.
  • Monitor the progress of FSL activities and provide regular reports to the FSL Officer
  • Collaborate with local authorities, community leaders, and other stakeholders to ensure the successful implementation of FSL programs.
  • Ensure compliance with organizational policies and procedures, including safeguarding and gender equity.

Qualifications

  • Diploma in Agriculture, Economics, Development Studies, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in food security and livelihood programming.
  • Strong knowledge of agricultural practices, food security issues, and livelihood strategies.
  • Experience in conducting training sessions and capacity-building activities.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Proficiency in Hausa and Kanuri Languages
  • Willingness to travel to remote and rural areas in Konduga LGA
